Regardless to how some media sectors attempt to portray marriage in a negative light, the Adams' are sharing
the message that marriage is a beautiful thing ordained by God, and when you have a man and woman united
together in covenant, applying the principles of the word of God, and refusing to allow anything or anybody to come in between that, they can truly experience "Heaven on Earth" in their marriage relationship.
Fortify the Foundation: Make God the foundation of your marriage and honor the covenant. It must begin with a personal relationship with God. Keep God First. Psalm 127:1 - Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that built it.
Invest Into Your Marriage: It's important to invest into your marriage and spend quality time together. No matter how long you have been married, you can always make improvements. Marriage maintenance should be a priority. Luke 12:34 - For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. People will invest into what is important to them. The biggest investment is time.
Communicate: When communication stops, the marriage will die. Stay open to communication which is both speaking and listening. Be respectful. James 1:19 - Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man must be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
Practice Forgiveness: Forgiveness is a decision. You must master this area in marriage. Matthew 6:14-16 - For if you forgive others of their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Prayer: Prayer is important in marriage. Implement prayer and learn to pray together. There is nothing more powerful than a husband and wife unified in prayer. Matthew 18:19 - Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Stay Unified: No more "I", but "We". Don't let anything or anybody create division in your marriage. Stay together. Ephesians 5:31 ..... And they two shall be one flesh.
Protect Trust: Once trust is violated, it can be a long road to recovery. Protect this area in your marriage. Proverbs 28:13 - He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
As a young married couple moving into their first home, the Adams' soon discovered that many of their neighbors were experiencing marital problems, and as a way to reach out to those in marital distress, they opened their home to invite couples over to share biblical principles about marriage, as well as create an opportunity for couples to share experiences and testimonies to encourage, enlighten and empower marriages within their neighborhood; hence, Heaven on Earth Marriage Ministry was birthed.
The Adams' have ministered to many couples throughout the years and have also become marriage mentors to several young couples.
When sharing with other couples, they often tell their own personal testimony of how they were married at a very young age - against all odds, but yet
